Dustan graduated from the school of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1998. He completed a post graduate certification of Manipulative Therapy at Curtin University (Australia) in 2005. In 2009 he successfully attained a Certification of Sport Physiotherapy through Sport Physiotherapy Canada.

Dustan moved to Medicine Hat in 1999 and began working at the Ridge Spine and Sport Centre upon its conception in 2005.

He has covered several local, provincial, national, and international sporting events. He has worked with athletes ranging from the local amateur, NHL, PGA, CFL, collegiate and university levels. He was also an alternate for medical treatment team in the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver.  In the summer of 2011 Dustan was chosen to be the on-site physiotherapist at the PGA Telus Skins Game in Banff, AB.

Dustan is a certified Active Release Technique (ART) and Graston provider. He is also a fully accredited Golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He is a consultant for the Southern Alberta Elite Athlete development program.

Dustan resides in Medicine Hat with his wife Melissa and two children, Nolan and Anna.
